 Somewhere in the deepest parts of the universe, there was a small gap between dimensions.
There, life once struggled to exist, no living being knew of it.
In that infinite space was a graveyard, guarded by a nameless grave keeper where the dead would sleep an eternal slumber.

 One day, the grave keeper chose a grave among the dozing deads.
He then proceeded to extract the memory core from the tombstone and throw it into space.
It flew far, far away, through the universe to a remote planet, where it hit a young boy who had just been killed by a lightning strike. 
The boy's heart started to beat again. The grave keeper sent the dead's personal belongings beside the boy.
The memory core then rooted itself into the boy's body as he hadn't given up on life yet, creating connections one after another, eventually leading to consciousness.

 A strong and damp wind blew off the dust that had accumulated on his skin.
Afar, the thunder was echoing menacingly.

 'What happened to me...?'

 The young man was a pharmacologist living in Japan in modern day Japan.
He started studying pharmacy after he had lost his younger sister to a brain tumor during his childhood.
Before long he became a brilliant researcher, and would study day and night, even staying overnight in the university's laboratory doing nothing but research.
Clear-minded and with an enthusiastic personality, he fervously and succesfully conducted research, handing out new medicine for incurable diseases to the world one after another.
His results were known throughout the world, and people had put a lot of hope in his work.

 He made a name for himself while still young and lived a fast and reckless life.
Time was of the essence, as he wanted to create a world in which none would suffer from diseases or where they wouldn't force people to kiss goodbye to loved ones.
He wanted to cure more and more people. A foolhardy kind of young pharmacologist with a burning passion for his ideals.
Even if just a day or second sooner, he wanted to deliver new drugs and eradicate any and all disease or ailment from the face of the Earth.
This was the endeavor he had bet his life on. 
However he met his demise before achieving his dream. As a result of him immersing himself in his research without sleep or rest his body eventually reached its limits.
And so, as of right now he can only hazily remember his death. 

 His new life was about to begin from the moment he collapsed and lied down after a tumultuous storm had passed.
